Actor Emraan Hashmi, who is known for his outspoken and bold characters, has given a big statement about the new show Adolescence. Emraan has said that making such shows in India is like a nightmare. He has said that if a producer brings such a project, people will directly ask him whether he is crazy.
Adolescence is a show that sheds light on the changes that happen during adolescence, which is often not discussed openly in Indian society. In which topics like the thinking of the youth, physical changes, taboos imposed by the society have been shown with sensitivity.
Emraan said that in India there is hesitation and reluctance to talk about such issues. Approving such a project can be very challenging.
Emraan Khan has said that although today’s youth are quite aware and want to answer their questions, but due to social pressure and traditional thinking, it feels very embarrassing to talk about such topics.
That if such stories are told honestly and in the same way as those of adolescence, then it can bring about change and can support the youth, but the fact is that our society is not ready for openness.
