Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s much-awaited film Ground Zero has hit the theatres. The film was released on 25 April 2025 but on the very first day, there has been a huge suspense regarding the box office report. The film’s opening connection did not live up to expectations.
People say that this film can prove to be a flop. If the footfall of the film does not improve, then Ground Zero can become Imran Khan’s film to give the weakest opening after the pandemic.
The film is based on a true incident. In this, Imran Hashmi has played the role of BSF Army Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who killed terrorist Rana Tahir Nadeem alias Ghazi Baba in 2003. He was awarded the Kirti Chakra for his bravery.
Imran’s performance in the story of this film is quite commendable. The film had a mixture of patriotism and action, but the opening at the box office is looking very weak. The first day’s earnings were only between Rs 1 to 2 crore.
This is the second biggest low opening of Imran’s post-Covid films. This film was made on a budget of 20 to 25 crores and was shot in Jammu and Kashmir.
But now it will be interesting to see whether Ground Zero will be able to pick up its pace or Imran’s effort will also be left behind in the box office race.
