The movie follows the story of two strangers who meet at a lavish destination wedding at Thailand. These stranger gets close to each other and explores their relationship.
Dev lives in Bangluru. He runs a start up business which is dealing the problems due its initial stage. He has a childhood best friend Alina. Dev is in love with Alina Jaisingh from a very long time but never dared to propose her.
Dev gets the news that Alina is getting married to Nikhil Kothari. This breaks his heart. He don’t want to attend her wedding but Alina insists her childhood best friends to attend the wedding.
Dev reaches at the destination of wedding, Thailand with a though that he we confess his feeling to Alina. There he meet with a bubbly and beautiful girl Meghna Doshi.
Meghna is a friend of Nikhil and ex-girlfriend of Nikhil’s best Gaurav Shah. Nikhil has invited Alina to his wedding to show Gaurav that she had moved on and she is happy without him.
Meghna gets to know about Dev and his feelings for Alina. She starts to boost him up and support him as he going through a heartbreak. They both starts getting closer to each other and develops romantic feelings.
The whole situation takes unexpected turn when the bride Alina starts to doubt her decision about getting married to Nikhil. On the other hand, Gaurav starts wooing Meghna to reconsider the breakup.
Will Meghna and Gaurav reconcile? Or will Dev and Alina gets into a relationship? Or will Dev and Meghna will start a new love life?
The movie stars newcomers, Rajveer Deol as Dev Saraf and Paloma Dhillon as Meghna Doshi in the lead roles.

The story of the movie is co-written by Avnish S. Barjatya and Manu Sharma. The cinematography of the movie is handled by Chirantan Das. And it is edited by Shweta Venkat Mathew.
The music for the movie is composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy and the background Scores are done by George Joseph. The lyrics of the songs are written by Irshad Kamil.
The movie is directed by Avnish S. Barjatya. He is the son of famous Indian movie Sooraj R. Barjatya and doing his directorial debut with the movie Dono.
The movie Dono is jointly produced by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Rajkumar Barjatya and Ajit Kumar Barjatya under the banner of Rajshri Productions and Jio Studios.
