It all started with a visit to Portola’s “Railroad Days” on their 25th anniversary. After several more trips to Northern California, “Fabulous Feather River Route” was to be a video presentation almost 4 hours in duration! Volume One and Two are both 1 hour and 59 minutes, all natural (no distracting narration) stereo sound – just like you were there “trainspotting” yourself ! Volume One features: The WPRM at Portola (Western Pacific Railroad Museum), the Union Pacific Yard at Portola, with UP “Centennial” Locomotive #6936 on the main line! The Clio Trestle and C-Road crossing. If you like the Tehachapi Loop, you’ll enjoy Willaims Loop just outside of Quincy, CA! We visit the Keddie Wye and Spanish Creek trestle in both warm and cold (lots of snow) weather. Also tour the bridges at Pulga and Tobin as well as the concrete arc bridge at Intake, CA!
