Paley Television Festival evening honors CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, an hour-long police drama following a team of forensic criminalistics experts in Las Vegas. Robert M. Batscha (former president, The Paley Center for Media) welcomes the audience and moderates the following panelists: executive producer Carol Mendelsohn; series creator/co-executive producer Anthony Zuiker; consulting producer Jonathan Littman; executive producer Ann Donahue; production consultant/director Danny Cannon; actor/executive producer William Petersen (Gil Grissom); and actors George Eads (Nick Stokes), Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle), Paul Guilfoyle (Capt. Jim Brass), and Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows).The panel talks about how the program was developed, the atmosphere of the series and the relationships between the people who work on it, the amount of scientific detail and research that go into each episode, the amount of violence and gore on the show, and the inspiration that the writers take from real-life crimes.
