The story of the movie revolves around a wealthy family. They are facing many problems in their lives. Guruji advises the family to perform a prayer to their family deity to get rid of these problems. Guru Ji advises them all to be involved in the holy task, including the children of the deceased daughter, to get the full benefit of it. The long-lost relatives reunite at Vettaiyapuram to worship their family.
They rent the Vettaiyapuram Palace for 48 days. Murugesan is the caretaker of the palace. When the family moves in, he warns them not to go towards the southern part of the palace. In that part of the palace, the room of the late Chandramukhi is located. And the haunting soul of Chandramukhi is still trapped inside one of the rooms in the southern part. Ramachandra Aachariya has trapped the soul inside the room and advised the caretaker of the palace not to enter the room.
Priya gets fascinated by the tales of Chandramukhi. She decides to visit her room. She tries to find the Chandramukhi room and ends up reaching Vettaiyan’s courtroom. It is the room where the haunting soul of Chandramukhi is trapped. Unknowingly, Priya releases the Chandramukhi spirit. And the evil spirit possesses Priya’s body. The spirit starts to nurture the family in various ways. How the family will manage to get rid of this haunting spirit?
