BMW Z4: Thief unlocked the car through hacking
A luxury BMW Z4 Convertible car worth about 80 lakh rupees was stolen from the parking lot of film actress Shilpa Shetty‘s Mumbai-based restaurant, Bastian. People are shocked by the incident that took place at the Dadar-based restaurant. The owner of the car, Bandra businessman Ruhan Khan, found out about the theft when he came out of the restaurant and immediately lodged an FIR at the Shivaji Park police station.
Had given car in valet parking
According to media reports, 34-year-old construction businessman Ruhan Khan, who lives in Bandra, reached ‘Bastion’ at around 1 am on Sunday. After handing over his car keys to the valet, he and his friends had dinner there. However, when the restaurant closed around 4 am, Khan found that his car was missing. An official said, “He was shocked to know that his car had disappeared from the parking lot.”
Car hacked
CCTV footage showed that shortly after the valet parked the vehicle in the basement, two men arrived in a Jeep Compass SUV. According to reports, the thieves, using advanced hacking techniques, unlocked the BMW car and fled with the car within minutes of entering the parking area. The quick act of theft has raised concerns about security measures at ‘Bastion’ and similar places.
Along with this, the question has also arisen that no matter how many claims the vehicle companies make about the security features of their valuable cars, but the safety of cars from thieves is a matter of concern.
