Actress Archana Puran Singh is currently seen in ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. She is in the news for the upcoming film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’. Recently, the actress shared a heartbreaking experience in an interview. She told when she was asked to laugh on the set even after knowing about the demise of her husband Parmeet Sethi‘s mother.
The actress, while talking to Instant Bollywood, said that she had almost finished shooting for the comedy show and after getting the news of her mother-in-law’s demise, she told the production house that she wanted to quit the show, but she also knew that she had to complete the shoot. Archana said that the production house asked her to sit down and record her laughter, which they would use whenever needed in between jokes.
The actress further said, I laughed and imagined in my mind what is happening now, because my mother-in-law has died. I don’t know how I laughed. When you spend 30 to 40 years in this industry, you know that the producer’s money is involved in it. You cannot leave your work incomplete.
The actress also added that her husband used to understand her situation, but it took him 15 minutes to understand what was happening. Archana shared that even today there are times when she goes to her vanity van and thinks, ‘I can’t even smile today.’ The situation at home was very bad and no one was well, but I would go to the vanity van, get my makeup done and often call home to check and then go to the set and go haha, very good, very good,’ the veteran actress added.
