Nandamuri Balakrishna pushed Anjali during an event: Internet roars ‘Unacceptable”

Anjali ‘Gangs Of Godavari’ co-star Neha was visibly shocked by Nandamuri Balakrishna’s the gesture

After a video of Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna shoving actress Anjali away at a function went viral, the actor faced intense outrage on social media. At the pre-release ceremony for Anjali‘s upcoming film Gangs of Godavari, which also stars Vishwak Sen and Neha Shetty, Nandamuri Balakrishna was the featured guest.

Anjali is seen being pushed onto the stage by Nandamuri Balakrishna in the viral video, allegedly because she was unable to hear him. The move clearly stunned Anjali‘s co-star Neha, but Anjali shrugged it off. What Nandamuri Balakrishna said to Anjali before to the push is not known.

Netizens are condemning Nandamuri Balakrishna for his “disrespectful” conduct towards women, while Anjali seemed unaffected by the incident. A user wrote, “It’s crazy how so many people give him a free pass by saying stuff like ‘it’s just Balayya.'” Someone else said, “A talented actress treated like this is unacceptable.” It was said by a user on X (previously Twitter) that “this is so humiliating what an arrogant person he is.”

One person said, “An overrated, overactor, who doesn’t look good in any movie,” while another said, “It hurts that there isn’t anything being done to change the state of the industry.” I won’t be shocked if this is given a PR spin.”

Nandamuri Balakrishna has acted in more than ten motion pictures. Among his many successful films are Akhanda, Veersimha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari, Legend, and Simha. His most recent film, Veersimha Reddy (2023), brought in a total of Rs 132.5 crore globally. His upcoming film, Akhanda 2, is helmed by Boyapati Srinu.

On the other hand, Anjali is most recognised for her parts in well-known Telugu and Tamil movies, like Geethanjali, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Angaadi Theru, and Engaeyum Eppothum. On May 31, her next movie, Gangs of Godavari, will open in cinemas.
