Anil Kapoor recently spoke about his exclusion from the upcoming sequels “No Entry 2” and “Welcome 3,” franchises in which he had previously played pivotal roles. Anil Kapoor, set to host “Bigg Boss OTT 3,” expressed a philosophical view on the matter, acknowledging that such changes are part of the industry dynamics.
In “Welcome 3,” Kapoor and co-star Nana Patekar, who were integral to the first two films, will be replaced by Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. The decision was reportedly due to financial disagreements, with Kapoor demanding a substantial fee that the producers were unwilling to meet. Kapoor‘s withdrawal led to Patekar also exiting the project, as he did not want to reprise his role without Kapoor.
For “No Entry 2,” the situation involves a familial rift. Kapoor‘s brother, Boney Kapoor, who is producing the film, opted for a new cast including Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh. Anil Kapoor expressed disappointment over not being part of the sequel, considering his significant contribution to the original film. Director Anees Bazmee acknowledged Kapoor’s justified disappointment but mentioned that the decision was made to keep the sequel relevant to contemporary audiences.
Anil said in press conference “Riteish Deshmukh is doing Bigg Boss Marathi. Please watch it. He is a very good friend of mine, like my younger brother. Just like Salman Khan, he is also like my younger brother. We are all well-wishers of each other. Sometimes I replace him, sometimes he replaces me. But, this word (replace) is wrong. Everyone will have work. Sometimes it doesn’t work out due to time or dates.”
he added, “Recently, I was replaced in two places in films. Now, what is the reason I don’t know. But these things happen. We are just doing our jobs with sincerity and honesty. That’s what life is.”
Despite these setbacks, Kapoor remains active in the industry with numerous projects, including his role as a host and his ongoing successful acting career.
