The story of the drama series revolves around a young woman named Chong Xuezhi. She is the young mistress of Chonghuo Palace. She leaves her home to see the world around her. It is the first time she is going out of her palace. She gets followed by an assassin. To save her life, the young mistress tries to escape from the assassin. She meets a young boy named Shangguan Tou. He saved her life from the assassin.
Later, the treasured martial arts manual “Nine Techniques of the Lotus God” gets stolen from the palace. And Chong Xuezhi gets banished from her palace. She decided to find a real thief with the help of Shangguan Tou. They find a hidden conspiracy behind the theft.
Meanwhile, Shanggyan Tou and Chong Xuezhi fall in love. Shanggyan Tou gets to know that Chong Xuezhi’s life is in danger. He decides to protect the innocent young woman.
