Now she is in the news for her upcoming Netflix film ‘Control’. Meanwhile, she has talked about doing item numbers in films.

In her five years of film career, Ananya Panday has become one of the most talked about star kids of Bollywood. She has made her presence felt through her acting in films like Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Liger, Pati Patni Aur Woh, to name a few. Recently, in an interview with Humans of Bombay, she spoke about doing item numbers.

She said that there are many other ways to do it. She said that she will take her decision based on the intention of the dance number. She further said that item numbers need to be seen from another perspective and there are many ways through which it can be shown in a different and significant form.

The ‘Call Me Bay’ star said that she would do an item number if her character is of a strong girl and is not being made too vulgar. If her character is not being respected, she would refuse to do it. “There are many ways to be sexy but there should not be vulgarity or objectification. It is the same with men, if you ask them to take off their shirt, they are objectified as well,” Ananya added. The actress added that it can be seen as entertainment as well but the problem is with the glorification of negative elements.

Ananya Panday is in the news these days for her upcoming film CTRL. Her film is going to be a cyber thriller, which will be released on Netflix. The film will be released on Netflix on October 4. She will be seen with Vihaan Samat in ‘Control’. Both of them also worked together in her debut Prime Video series ‘Call Me Bay’, which was released earlier this month.
