Rohit Shetty is known for his great films. Recently his film Singham Again has been released which has created a stir at the box office. After the success of this film, Shetty has given an interview in which he talks about starting a new project with Deepika Padukone.
Deepika has played both her characters brilliantly and in a recent interview, Rohit Shetty was asked which character is his favourite. To which he replied, “Shakti Shetty’s story will be made in the future, but for now, Meenamma is very close to my heart.” He also shared memories related to his favourite character.
Along with this, he told that for a perfect comedy performance, timing and a good understanding between the actor and the director is very important. In another conversation with Mukesh Chhabra, Rohit Shetty told that it took four days for Deepika to adopt the unique style of Meenamma.
She left her hesitation and did such a brilliant acting that it fit perfectly with the comedy of the film. Deepika‘s hard work created Meenamma’s ‘nonsense dictionary’ dialect, which is still a favorite of the people and will always be memorable.
In a recent interview, Shetty talked about making a standalone film with Deepika‘s character and why it is taking time to introduce it in the cop universe. He said that he wants the right script for the character. Rohit told that the script has not been written yet. Although they have an idea, the team is still deciding the direction of the story.
