Adhyayan Suman To Sharmin Segal: “It’s Critical To Acknowledge Reality.”

After receiving backlash for her role in Heeramandi, Sharmin Segal disabled comments on her Instagram account. Adhyayan Suman gives her advice during a latest interview.

For his role in ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar‘, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Adhyayan Suman is receiving accolades. The actor portrays a Nawab in the Netflix series. Adhyayan Suman counselled Sharmin Segal not to live in a bubble amidst the criticism she received for her performance in ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar‘ in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama.

“I think it’s very important to not live in a bubble,” Adhyayan Suman remarked. “Accepting reality in its entirety—not just Heeramandi—is crucial. Understanding who you are and whether you have what it takes to persevere over the next 15 to 20 years are crucial. It’s crucial that you don’t tell yourself lies. “She should come out and speak to people if she is receiving criticism for her performance,” he continued. The audiences are quite understanding and will give you another shot if they think you’ve put in enough effort.”

Sharmin portrays the character of Alamzeb in the show. She plays the younger daughter of Manisha Koirala‘s character, Mallikajaan, the courtesan. On social media, some individuals questioned Sharmin’s acting abilities. She chose to turn off comments on her Instagram account to prevent hateful remarks, even though her co-stars offered her support.

In the series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar‘, Adhyayan Suman plays the roles of young Nawab Zulfikarv and Nawab Zorawar. In this historical drama, his father, Shekhar Suman, portrays the elder Nawab Zulfikar. The pre-partition Heera Mandi red-light district in Lahore, Pakistan, served as the inspiration for the series’ title. The drama centres on a power battle that takes place in the 1920s–1940s between British officers, the Nawabs, and Heera Mandi’s courtesans. The plot is framed by the Indian independence movement’s opposition to British colonialism.

Netflix offers ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar‘ for streaming. Additionally, the second season of the show has just been confirmed.
