The robotic companion of Prabhas’s character Bhairava in Nag Ashwin’s upcoming science fiction picture Kalki 2898 AD is called Bujji. On June 27, the movie will be released.
Since the unique Bujji—a specially built car created for Kalki 2898 AD—was presented by director Nag Ashwin and actor Prabhas last week at an event in Hyderabad, they have been advertising it via a variety of platforms. Actor Naga Chaitanya and Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan tested the vehicle following Autocar’s evaluation. Nag Ashwin is now offering Tesla creator Elon Musk a unique invitation to check out the cutting-edge Bujji for himself.
Nag Ashwin showcased Bujji in Hyderabad, and then he drove the car through the streets of Chennai. Following a video of the same on X, the filmmaker personally invited Elon Musk, proposing that Bujji and his Cybertruck work together. “We would love to invite you to see and drive our #Bujji, @elonmusk sir.”
“It’s a 6 tonne beast, fully #madeinindia,” he continued. “Completely electric and a technical marvel. It will also, I venture, make for a fantastic photo opportunity with your cybertruck (it would be amazing to watch them drive together). Bujji‘s official Twitter account retweeted Nag Ashwin with the message, “Hello @elonmusk. #BujjiCallingElonMusk.”
Initially, Nag Ashwin unveiled a behind-the-scenes film to present Bujji‘s “brain,” a robot that becomes agitated and restless while the team constructs its “body.” Soon, the journalists and a few members of the crowd were given a tour of a three-wheeled car at an event in Hyderabad. Keerthy Suresh plays the voice of Bujji, the sidekick of Prabhas’s Bhairava in Kalki 2898 AD. To introduce the car, a teaser was also made available.
Anand Mahindra, who gave Nag Ashwin a shoutout following Bujji‘s presentation, assisted in building the car. “Yes, interesting things do happen on X.We’re so pleased of @nagashwin7 and his group of filmmakers for not being scared to dream big—I mean, really big.Through simulation of the powertrain architecture, configuration, and performance, our team at Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai assisted the Kalki team in realising their vision for a futuristic car,” he added.
On June 27, a sci-fi action film set in a bleak universe called Kalki 2898 AD will be released. The main actors in it are Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani. On May 31, a two-part animated prequel titled B&B: Bujji and Bhairava will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
