Priyanka Chopra‘s supporters are angered by The British TV host Andi Peters. He has mispronouncing her name during his March visit to Madame Tussauds in London. Andi went to the wax museum to discuss the celebrities that are preserved in wax with Good Morning Britain. Fans are not thrilled that the video has now surfaced again on Instagram.
In the video posted by a fan on Instagram, Good Morning Anchors, Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins were at the studio when Andi Peters spoke to them from Madame Tussauds. To Adil’s dismay, however, Andi Peters mispronounces Priyanka’s name and refers to her as “Chianca Chop Free.”
Adil Ray corrects him, “To be really honest, Andi. At the very least, find out the name of the person you will be standing next to. That’s the Indian Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who is currently a huge star in the United States.” According to the Daily Star, Andi Peters then declared that he was aware of her identity and that she was wed to “that one from the Jonas Brothers.”
Nevertheless, the video did not impress the fans, as one Instagram page shared it and said, “This was so unacceptable.” “‘Chianka chop free’ is absolute madness,” remarked one enthusiast. “Someone needs to tell Andi Peters at least Priyanka Chopra has earned her place in Madame Tussaud’s because he hasn’t,” said another irate admirer.
Pronouncing Priyanka’s name correctly seemed easy to one, as evidenced by the comment, “I used to enjoy Andi Peters – not anymore! That was incredibly impolite, yet saying her name isn’t that difficult at all! It appeared “rehearsed,” and other fans claimed that they were intentionally being “racist.” One fan wrote, “This seems like they were deliberately doing this…..looks so staged and rehearsed.” MSM racism at its most excellent.
