The talented ensemble of Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Heeramandi, including Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Segal, recently graced The Great Indian Kapil Show, where they regaled audiences with amusing tales from their time on set.
Host Kapil Sharma’s witty banter added an extra layer of hilarity to the proceedings, eliciting laughter from both the audience and the cast members. However, it was Sonakshi Sinha’s candid revelations that stole the show, particularly when the topic of marriage arose.
In response to Kapil’s playful inquiry about her impending wedding, Sonakshi quipped, “You’re adding salt to my wounds,” before humorously admitting her desire to tie the knot. She humorously referenced her single status despite the completion of Heeramandi’s filming, contrasting it with her co-stars’ marital milestones.
She added, “We are done shooting for Heeramand and I am still not married. Sharmin also got married.”
Manisha Koirala playfully interjected, highlighting Richa Chadha‘s recent marriage and pregnancy, prompting Richa to jokingly reflect on her transition from wearing heavy costumes on set to lighter wedding attire.
Manisha quickly pointed out and said, “And Richa, she got married and she got pregnant.”
Sharmin Segal, Bhansali‘s niece and a cast member of Heeramandi, tied the knot with Aman Mehta in November 2023. Meanwhile, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal, who legally married in 2020, celebrated their wedding festivities in 2022 before announcing their pregnancy in February 2024.
Heeramandi, Bhansali‘s digital debut, has been met with critical acclaim and features an ensemble cast, including Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman, among others.
