3 5 Segment 1 In this segment, Dr. Davis explores the Lord’s calling and election of certain persons based on his sovereign purpose and grace. Above all, God chose Jesus to be his Elect One. God elected to bring salvation to all humankind through faith in Christ. Israel was God’s elect instrument to bring the Messiah for all the world. Individual believers have an effective and secure election “in Christ.”
