The Gods in Paradise-Mormon Intimidation of Families in the South Pacific

On this segment of our video series, we take you to American Samoa. We feature the story of one corageous family there that would not permit the LDS Church to take away their land which had been in their family for generations. They fought a court battle with the Mormons for many years to stop this intimidation and won. You will hear the story of a brave high chief who had enough and decided that the Church would not exploit his family any more. As you hear the next part of our story, you will want to make sure that you will want to know where your children are at all times, especially if there is a Mormon Church nearby. One lady in the Cook Islands became very upset when they baptized her underaged children as Mormons , even though she told them not to do it. You will hear her say that she believes that Church officials were totally dishonest in dealing with her kids by making them outrageous promises that they could never keep. The promises were made only for one reason–to convert them to membership in the Mormon Church. You will learn about all of her struggles and how she was successful in reversing the baptisms although it was very difficult and the odds were against her. This is proof that it is possible to stand up against the Mormon Church and win! However, another mother in the Cook Islands didn’t do so well.
