A modern transposition of the Divina Commedia by Dante Alighieri, written in modern poetry by Maestro Bruno Pischiutta and set in the ’80 in New York. THE COMOEDIA, starring Liliana Tari, Gianfranco Molaro and Richard Coleman was edited by Maestro Bruno Pischiutta together with Ruggero Mastroianni. The film was originally the first video music in the world. The dialog has been added in post-production and has been written in modern poetry by Bruno Pischiutta. THE COMOEDIA is considered a directorial masterpiece that has subsequently catapulted Pischiutta onto the international movie scene. It was awarded the Bronze Medal for ‘Best Film’ at the New York International Film and TV Festival in 1982, among 3,800 film entries that year. The film was further invited by the Academy of Arts and Sciences(r) to be submitted for consideration in the Foreign Film Category.
