What would you do if you knew the next fifteen minutes didn’t count? Jeremy Saunders has a few ideas. In Every Hidden Thing everyman suburbanite Jeremy Saunders, accompanied by a pair of bizarre strangers who seem to appear at the most felicitous moments, embarks on a dangerous journey of sordid self-exploration – seemingly without consequences. When a phenomenon suddenly introduces a startling kink in chronology, Saunders believes he can get away with anything during occasional 15-minute periods of time that he is convinced aren’t real. Though he is unsure what is truly happening to him, he dubiously decides to take advantage of these “free time” opportunities to do things he would never otherwise do. His marriage, work, friendships, and sanity all spiral out of control as he sinks ever deeper into the snare of his own misdeeds, whether they are real or not. His wife Brandi reacts defensively as his odd behavior dredges up a tragedy from her family’s past. The big project he is heading up at his corporate workplace begins to fall apart. His friends can only watch as everything unravels. And Saunders worries that maybe he’s going crazy. Ultimately, he finds himself questioning everything – including who he has become – as he is forced to face the Truth with one final, life-or-death decision.
