4 6 Segment 2 Dr. Davis provides a rationale for our involvement in urban mission. The city is a seat of influence, power, and spiritual activity, and a magnet for the oppressed, broken, and poor. As 21st century disciples, we must strive to speak and live prophetically to the city. As the image of our spiritual destiny and inheritance, we must labor for the Gospel in our cities, both at home and abroad.
