Rhodes Town is the largest inhabited medieval city in the world. Everything in this town is enchanting and there are so many things to see. We visit the old town built by the Knights of Saint John, the order established by the Pope in Amalfi to protect the travelers going to Jerusalem. After a tour in the old Jewish quarters and a stroll on the main commercial street with its main square we visit the Alley of the Knights, a remarkable example of architecture and decoration of the time. We continue with a visit to the old Hospital of the Knights that accommodate now-a-days the Archeological Museum and to the Palace of the Grand Master delving in detail into the Knights of Saint John’s order and their history, ending with a tour of the city walls, maybe the most spectacular ramparts in the entire world. We continue with a visit to the harbor, that has besides the citadel of Saint Nicolas and some beautiful wind mills, the places where were located the feet of the famous Rhodes Colossus that was guarding in antiquity the harbor, another of the Seven Wonders of the World.
