This video features Shinpo Matayoshi (1923-1997) and his family style of Okinawa weapons. This tradition was passed on by his famous father Shinko Matayoshi (1888-1947). Noted for its Chinese influence, the Matayoshi Kobudo system includes the Bo, Sai, Tonfa, Kama, Nunchaku, Eku (Boat Oar), Tinbe (Shield & Knife) and Nunti Bo.
