Madhubala biopic’s co-producers Madhur Brij Bhushan and Arvind Kumar Malviya
Madhubala biography has been announced by Sony Pictures International Productions. The biography will cast light on the life and legacy of the late veteran actor who was dubbed “India’s Marilyn Monroe” and “the living Taj Mahal.”
Jasmeet K. Reen, who starred in Alia Bhatt’s feature debut, “Darlings,” has signed with the company. The film studio is creating the cinematic experience and the obstacles she faced as a woman negotiating the intricacies of the entertainment business in her time.

Sony Pictures International Productions and Brewing Thoughts Pvt. Ltd. (Prashant Singh and Madhurya Vinay) are the film’s producers. The studio has already begun production on “Shaktimaan,” India’s largest superhero trilogy.
Arvind Kumar Malviya of Madhubala Ventures and Madhur Brij Bhushan, Madhubala’s sister, are co-producers of the movie. The actor who will portray the title role, though, is still a mystery.

Over the course of her more than 20-year career, Madhubala—who was regarded as one of the highest-paid and most talented actresses in Indian cinema history—starred in over 60 films until passing away in 1969. Her credits include working on successful films like Barsaat Ki Raat, Mr & Mrs 55, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, and Mughal-E-Azam.
