Ajay Devgan and Madhavan starrer film ‘Shaitan‘ made good collection at the box office on the first day. According to the report of a industry tracker, this supernatural-horror film has earned Rs 15 crore 21 lakh on the opening day.

Earning of Rs 4.90 crore from advance booking on the second day
The film got the highest occupancy (43.02%) in night shows. Its overall occupancy was 25.70%. Apart from this, the film has already earned Rs 4 crore 90 lakh by selling 1 lakh 95 thousand tickets through advance booking on the second day.

With this, it became the fifth highest grossing film of Ajay‘s career on opening day. Ajay and Kareena starrer ‘Singham Returns‘ is at the top of this list. Ajay’s film got an opening of Rs 32.09 crore. ‘Shaitan‘ has been directed by Vikas Bahl in which South actress Jyotika is also seen in an important role. Gujarati actress Janaki Bodiwala has made her Bollywood debut with the film.
