Produced by the team that also gave the world The Three Stooges, this hillbilly comedy was the first of two Columbia 2-reelers to star Swedish-accented comic El Brendel. An acquired taste at best, Brendel played a young immigrant caught up in a hillbilly feud. Phyllis Crane played his sweetheart whose family is on the opposing side. Following The Super Snooper (1937), Brendel returned to feature film work. He was back with the Columbia short subject department less than four years later, however.
