Kangana Ranaut Faces Death Threats Amid Growing Controversy Over ‘Emergency’

As the release date of Kangana Ranaut‘s film Emergency is getting closer, the uproar regarding it is increasing. Amidst the protests by Sikh organizations, a video is now going viral on social media, in which Kangana is allegedly being threatened with death.

Although no claim can be made about the veracity of this video at present, Kangana has tagged this video to Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab Police and demanded action. There is also an uproar over Kangana’s statement regarding the farmers’ movement.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with the handle Rahul Chauhan, in which BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut was requested to increase their security.

In this video, some Sikh youth are seen sitting, talking about the film Emergency. A young man says that if you release this film, the Sardars will slap you. You ate Lafa. At the end of the video, a young man is seen saying – If we can get the head cut, then we can also cut the head.

While sharing the video, Kangana tagged DGP Maharashtra, Himachal Police and Punjab Police and wrote – Please, look into this matter. Sikh organizations abroad are also opposing the film. The Sikh Council of Australia has written a letter saying that the film will increase the distance between Hindus and Sikhs.

Emergency is a film made on the incident of imposing emergency in the country by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Along with producing and directing, Kangana has also played the role of Indira Gandhi. Many veteran actors have played the roles of politicians in the film. The film will be released in theaters on September 6 and Kangana is busy promoting the film these days.
